Rising Current Review

Editorial policy

Rising Current Review aims to explain Earth processes accurately, clearly and with appropriate limits. We review wording and factual claims before publication, and make corrections when an error is identified.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against appropriate reference material and prefer established explanations over dramatic simplifications. Terms are defined when readers need them. Where an explanation involves uncertainty, competing interpretations or limits in what can be inferred, we say so rather than presenting a tidy answer as settled fact.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for relevance, clarity and accuracy, not to promise a particular conclusion to a partner. We do not present paid promotion as independent editorial work. Any partnership arrangement that could reasonably affect how readers interpret a page is disclosed alongside the relevant material.

Corrections

When a reader flags a possible error, we assess the point and update material when warranted. Substantive corrections should be made plainly, with an explanation of what changed where appropriate. Send correction requests through the Contact page and identify the article and the detail in question.

Images and illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. When an image is illustrative rather than a documentary depiction, we aim to make that clear. Images should not be treated as evidence of a particular place, event or observed Earth process unless their context says so.

How we look

The planet makes more sense in motion

A river, a cloud and a mountain are not static things. Follow the processes behind them and the larger story comes into view.
